There’s nothing quite like twinkling lights to put you in the holiday spirit. If you ask me, bundling up, sipping a hot beverage, and cruising around gazing at holiday lights is the perfect way to spend a December evening.   1. Wild Lanterns
    Woodland Park Zoo | $26-$35

    Take in the fantastical, large-scale animals and nature scape themed lanterns and strings of lights. Lantern displays will represent different wild places from around the globe. Don’t forget to purchase a festive treat from one of several locations across the zoo while wandering around enjoying the lights.


  2. Holiday Lights & Delights
    Occidental Square, Westlake Park | Free

    Enjoy “larger-than-life” light sculptures crafted from over 140,000 bulbs in Westlake Park. On Saturdays, there will be festive crafts, merry characters and occasional snow flurries in Westlake Park, and cookies, cocoa, and carolers at Occidental Square. Saturdays, Dec. 3, 10 and 17, noon-3pm.

    Enter NE Park Road off 20th Ave NE and Ravenna Blvd. Glimpse the old homes aglow with holiday lights that residents have been decorating since 1949.

    Take a driving tour of the neighborhood around Kerry Park Viewpoint, located at 211 W. Highland Dr. Enjoy the historic homes lit up with sparkling light displays each holiday season.
