- Whidbey Island
Distance: 35.5 miles
Travel Time: About 1 hour, 15 minutes
Did you know that Whidbey Island is the largest island in Washington State? It’s also the fourth largest island in the United States. There is plenty to do on Whidbey Island, including wine tasting, shopping in downtown Langley, or exploring one of the island’s state parks. We recommend visiting Deception Pass State Park and hiking to Light House Point via the Rosario Head Trail for some incredible views.
If hiking isn’t your thing, you might enjoy visiting Lavender Wind Farm. They’ve been growing lavender to make lavender products (blackberry lavender jam, lavender baking extract, etc.) for over 20 years. You may also want to check out one of the island’s many wineries for some wine tasting. Comforts of Whidbey, Spoiled Dog Winery and Hierophant Meadery are all worth checking out. - Snoqualmie
Distance: 28.6 miles
Travel Time: About 36 minutes
Visiting Snoqualmie makes for the perfect alpine escape. Tourists and locals alike come from all over the place to hike and view beautiful Snoqualmie Falls – a tremendous 269 ft tall waterfall. If you’re looking for a satisfying hike with a stunning view, try Rattlesnake Ledge or the Snoqualmie Falls Trail. Experienced hikers will also enjoy Mailbox Peak. Refuel after visiting the falls or hiking at local favorites Snoqualmie Falls Brewery, Buckshot Honey, or Infusion Bar & Grill. - Bainbridge Island
Distance: 10.3 miles
Travel Time: About 54 minutes
Visiting Bainbridge Island is a great option if you don’t have a car or would prefer to walk or bike. The ferry ride offers some seriously scenic views of Mt Rainier, the Olympics, and the Seattle skyline. Once you’re there, check out Bloedel Reserve – a famous 150-acre reserve featuring a Japanese garden, moss garden, and reflection pool. Visiting Heyday Farm is also a must. It’s a 25-acre historical farm with an onsite bakery, farm store, and even a farm to table restaurant where only the freshest, seasonal ingredients are used. Of course, visiting the cafes and shops in downtown Bainbridge is also highly recommended. - Snohomish
Distance: 30 miles
Travel Time: About 43 minutes
For a picturesque day trip, look no further than Snohomish, Washington. Visit Historic Downtown Snohomish and check out the large variety of vintage and antique shops. If shopping isn’t your cup of tea, walk along the Snohomish River Trail – a 30-mile long paved, multi-use path – or visit a local farm to pick your own fresh produce. Stocker Farms offers blueberry, sunflower, and pumpkin picking, but their Fall Festival (late September through October) is what really sets them apart from other farms in the area. Bailey Family Farm is a great place to purchase fresh produce. From mid-June to October, you can pick crops such as sweet corn, radishes, potatoes, cucumbers, honey crisp apples, etc. Oh, and don’t forget to grab a delicious slice of pie before you leave town at Snohomish Pie Co! - Woodinville
